Dude, I've got a Dell!

I bought a Dell computer for my home about 3 years ago and I've been a happily satisfied Dell customer ever since. I have used a Dell PC at work for about 10 years and the quality is great. When I ordered my PC, I upgraded several of the options like the hard drive storage, the RAM and the processor type since I was going to be using it for some memory intense programs. It's been a great computer; so far, so good.

As far as my work PC goes, they must have been having a huge pc sale because I just got upgraded to a brand new Dell Optiplex 745 PC with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM, an 80 GB hard drive, DVD/CD burner, and a 19" wide screen flat panel monitor to boot. The last upgrade I got was over 5 years ago and let me just tell you, this Dell is screamin' fast...

Dude, I'm gettin' a Dell! I have a Dell at home and at work, but my work pc is getting upgraded next week. I can't wait to have two screamin' processors making it feasible for me to open and work in some of the memory hoggin' applications that I run (especially during the first of the month - chart & stat time). I know it'll have Office 2007 on it as well, and I know it's layed out much differently than Office 2003, so I'll probably be reporting on that as well...

I'm a chic who doesn't need diamond rings, flowers, or chocolate - just buy me electronics!

Looking forward to getting my new PC & maybe this means I'll have my job for a while longer since they only upgrade once every 5-7 years.

I'm a clean freak - especially when it comes to my computer - I want to make sure that it's optimized and secure. Our family PC could sure use some maintenance in the form of software like jv16 PowerTools from Macecraft Software. It's a Windows Optimization Suite complete with a registry cleaner, registry manager, and software uninstaller. The software is $29.95, but there's also a free demo download available as well. I might just put this to the ultimate test - my 18 year old son's pc - I'll let you know how it fares. If you've used this product, please let me know your thoughts.

Desperate Housewives on PC

Well, we've all heard of "chic flicks," but I wonder what the new Desperate Housewives PC game will be called - perhaps a "dame game" - I don't know, but I might buy it just to see what it's like. I love the show, and GameSpot gave the game a Good (6.5 out of 10) rating saying that "Desperate Housewives isn't much of a game, but it does a pretty good job of telling an original, interactive soap opera story in the quirky tone of the hit show." Sounds like a "dame game" to me!
